Walter Perez was born in Westwood, CA and raised in the city of South Gate in South L.A. Went to high school in Watts (Jordan High School) and has recently graduated from Cal State University of Fullerton with B.A. in Criminal Justice. From the tender age of 7, Walter has enjoyed entertaining people. He started his career on stage as a Folklorico dancer which without knowing would be the stepping stone and catapult towards his career as an actor. Later in high school he joined a group called Colors United which focused on exposing inner-city kids with arts of acting, singing and dancing which he did not hesitate to take advantage of. In 1997, a documentary about the program and its impact on inner-city kids was filmed and nominated for an Academy Award. Through the program Walter was able to show his talents to people like Hilary Clinton, Stevie Wonder and Tom Shadyac (who he has not worked with yet).Walter started his Hollywood acting career doing commercials and independent films until he landed his first big television credit recurring on CBS's hit Drama "The District", playing character Tico Rodriguez. He later went on and booked a big guest star on CBS's "Judging Amy" working alongside the shows star Amy Brenneman. Then in 2006 came his biggest break ever landing a recurring role on NBC's hit show "Friday Night Lights", playing character Bobby "Bull" Reyes. Walter has become a CBS favorite having booked CSI:Miami just months after FNL playing a Cuban baseball player named Jorge Zamareno.Walter Perez has worked hard to stay in the game and there are no signs of him slowing down. Its his persistance. He says,"Being an actor in Hollywood is hard work, but being a "Latino" actor in Hollywood is even harder. Suck it up and keep hustlin'".
