Former Math teacher in Ireland. Wife is Afro-Caribbean British. Brother of Emmet Bergin He and Richard Harris were two of the only Irish actors to play Irishmen in Patriot Games (1992). First began acting part-time in the theater while in high school. He's the son of a senator in the Irish parliament. Has a bachelor's degree in Drama in Education.
