Scott was born in 1976 and moved to Wellington, Florida in 1985. He met director Heath McKnight in middle school, and after high school, attended the University of Florida and later Palm Beach Community College. In early 2001 Scott made his acting debut in Heath's first feature, Skye Falling (2001) as a victim being eaten by a genetically engineered sea creature in a movie-within-the-movie called The Poseidon. He then drank a Smirnof Ice and talked to no one for the party scene in Heath's short film, Push/Pull (2003).
