Father of actor Tyler PoseyThey appeared together in two episodes of the PAX TV series "Doc".
Played the role of Danny Tanner in the unaired pilot episode of "Full House" (1987), but was replaced by Bob Saget when the series finally went to air.
John graduated from the University of Florida in 1981. With a partner, he formed the comedy group "Comedia" in Atlanta, Georgia in 1985 and was brought to Los Angeles by representatives of ABC two years later. He is also a screenwriter and playwright and is the author/performer of the critically-acclaimed one-man show, "Father,Son & Holy Coach".
