Klaus Bundgård Povlsen has become a familiar face to Danish viewers as a reporter and host of journalistic programming. Between 1982 and 1986 he studied journalism in Århus with an internship at Politiken. From 1986 to 1987 he was a reporter for another Copenhagen newspaper, B.T., before returning to Politiken where he remained as a political reporter until 1996. He then turned to television, first as a reporter for "TV-Avisen" (1965) between 1996 and 1999, then as co-host of magazine programme "Indefra" (1998). In early 2003 he became the new host of the weekly political talk-show "Debatten" (1999).
