Older brother to actor Andrew Patrick Ralston. Married to producer/director Cathy Ziehl. Spent childhood in Scottsdale, Arizona, New York, Rhode Island, and Kansas City. Began shooting films at 9 years old with a friend's Regular 8mm camera in Arizona. Attended University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas, and Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. Directed over 15 short films. Worked professionally on over 50 commercials as a Key Grip, Assistant Camera Operator, and Assistant Director. Stage Manager for Lonny Chapman's Group Repertory Theatre in NoHo. Studied acting at Playhouse West with Robert Carnegie and Jeff Goldblum. Had leading roles in musicals and plays. Member of Screen Actor's Guild. Was private projectionist for producer John Davis and father Marvin Davis. A self-taught visual effects artist, created shots for films: Sunflower (2004), "The Smartest Man on Earth," "Rise of the Dark Jedi," and "Twinkle, Twinkle."
