Wali Razaqi / Biography

Mayor Scott Kennedy made an official proclamation naming October 8th, 2004 Wali Razaqi Day in the city of Santa Cruz.
Grew up in Santa Cruz, California from the time he was 8 years old. Before that his family lived in Afghanistan, India, Germany, and New York.
Filming September Tapes (2002) was the first time he had been back to Afghanistan since his family escaped the country (1979) when he was only nine months old.
Has two male rottweilers - Rex & Spike
Played quarterback from the age of 9 up until his second year in college. Quit football to make his first movie.
Married his high school sweetheart. They have known eachother since junior high school.
Younger brother is Ellyas Razaqi.
Son Ahmad Jack Razaqi was born January 22, 2007.
