Writer/Director/Producer and New York native Dave Rodriguez wrote, directed and produced "Push" which starred Chad Lindberg, Michael Rapaport and Academy Award nominee Chazz Palminteri. He also directed a short entitled "She Kills He" in 2005 and a series of commercials. "Push" won the "Audience Award" at The Method Fest, "Best Director" at the Long Island International Film Festival and was one of six domestic features selected by HBO's NY International Latino Film Festival in 2006 respectively. "She Kills He" won "Best Short" at the Miami International Short Film Festival in 2005.Dave has quickly built a reputation as one of the hardest working filmmakers in Hollywood; a lesson he learned long ago. Born in the Hunts Point section of the South Bronx in New York, Dave was influenced at a very early age by music and film. Dave attended the elite New York Military Academy and graduated in 1988. Developing an interest in entertainment, Dave broke into the music business first at just 16 years of age, as a producer with Paul "DJ Ice" Jennings and Eli Tubo at Power Play studios in Long Island City, N.Y.. In 1997, Dave enrolled in the "Actors Conservatory" in Hollywood where he studied dramatic arts.Dave currently makes his home in New York and Los Angeles.
