Worked as a nightclub bouncer/disc jockey, studio courier and security guard while launching his acting career. Graduated from Saint Ignatius College Preparatory in San Francisco, CA. Attended San Francisco City College to pursue a theatre degree, but left to join the San Francisco Police Department. Near-death experience while on-duty with the San Francisco Police Department prompted him to quit and pursue an acting career in Los Angeles.
