Brazilian actor, Marcio Rosario, originally from the coast town Santos in São Paulo, worked his way through Television, Theater and Cinema in Brazil. He just came back from South America where he was touring with the stage production: The Ballad Of The Clown - an original piece by the worldwide known Brazilian author, Plínio Marcos (the production traveled trough 5 countries). Marcio also shot 2 National commercials lately: Visa and Lowe's (the VISA spot was shot in 3 different languages: Portuguese, English, and Spanish). He also starts shooting in April the thriller: La Maria, by Stephen Richter where he plays a psychotic drug dealer. In Brazil, he's best known for starring in big office musicals like Grease, Beauty snd the Beast, Cyrano De Bergerac and Sleeping Beauty. In 1997, deciding to open his horizons, Rosario moved to Los Angeles to pursue a bigger career in the Movies. His other stage work on the Brazilian Equity Circuit includes: Extremeties and The Would-Be Gentleman. In 1993 one of the highlights of his Stage work when performing the play The Comedy of the Sexes, over 100,000 people came to see his work during a year period, breaking previous box office records for Brazilian stage in comedy. Many more people have heard his voice when stars like Bruce Willis, Johnny Deep, Rupert Everett, John Travolta and Dean Cain speak Portuguese because Marcio is the voice of choice to use for dubbing big name American stars into Portuguese.Marcio started acting at the age of 4, and hasn't left the international scene since. At the age of 12 he made his debut in the movies, shooting the film 'Young Girl' directed by Wilson Rodrigues. At the age of 21 he worked with the acclaimed Romanian director Pouran Deherrkian in the movie 'Bitterland'. 'City Of The Lost Souls', which premiered in late fall, 2002, featured Marcio as one of the lead characters in a true story of mafia influence and international intrigue. It was directed by Takashi Miike, named by Time Magazine as one the top ten best Non-Hollywood directors, and produced by Daiei Corporation. Mexican writer/director Jackie Torres hired Marcio for his Laguna Films production of El Precio Del Norte (The Price of the North). Now Marcio has set his sights on America where since September 2000 he became member of The National Hispanic Foundation For The Arts (Co-Founded By Jimmy Smits, Sonia Braga and Esai Morales. Besides his appearance on blockbusters movies like: Collateral Damage, The Scorpion King, The Thin Red Line, Fight Club, and General's Daughter, Rosario also has a recurring on the NBC soap opera, Days Of Our Lives.He also has a development deal with Koesch/Winterman Productions to host a TV show for the Brazilian Market since he did host the only Brazilian variety show in America few years ago called Brazil TV, winning several international prizes and garnering the Best Foreign Television Show in America. Marcio continues to build his international presence while securing his future in the domestic market with several new television and feature film projects on the horizon.
