Huge heavy metal fan; especially Iron Maiden. At one time had waist length hair but cut it to pursue acting. Native of Southern California. Started acting at age 6 in community theatre. Playing piano since age 7. Performed and played drums in the five person drum show at Knott's Berry Farm (2003). Was also a Knott's Halloween Haunt Monster (October 1996). Was captain of his award winning high school drumline. Has recorded with Phil Collen, the guitarist of Def Leppard. Is also an avid drummer, singer, pianist, and composer. Attended Loyola Marymount University at the same time as Colin Hanks and Jennifer Candy. Jennifer Candy stage-managed his senior thesis play, "The House of Blue Leaves", in which he had the lead role of "Artie." Graduated from Torrance High School where Beverly Hills 90210 and Buffy the Vampire Slayer the series were filmed. First acting job was in a National K-mart spot with Martha Stewart, directed by Spike Lee. He shot it a month before Martha's insider trading scandel came out.
