Daniel Sladek most recently served as Co-Executive Producer of the independent feature film Thank Heaven starring Jenny McCarthy and Matt Keeslar, directed by John Asher (Diamonds). He is currently Co-Producer of the independent feature film Royal Kill, now in production starring Eric Roberts and Pat Morita, directed by Babar Ahhmed (Genius), and along with producing partner Chris Taaffe is developing numerous projects including the ABC Holocaust mini-series FLORY, indie feature Prayers for Bobby (based on the critically acclaimed book of the same title), and a big screen adaptation of Robert Ludlum's The Road to Gandolfo.Prior to the 1998 creation of Daniel Sladek Entertainment Corp., in 1994 Sladek partnered with producer Silvio Muraglia to form Cine Grande Corporation. The company enjoyed a three-year Relationship with USA Pictures to produce independent feature films. Sladek and Muraglia produced four films; the 1999 Dimension release Russell Mulcahy's Tale Of The Mummy shot on location in Luxembourg and starring Jason Scott Lee, Louise Lombard, Christopher Lee, Gerald Butler, Jack Davenport, Lysette Anthony, Shelley Duvall and Michael Lerner; the 1997 USA Pictures release Sub Down, also shot in Luxembourg starring Stephen Baldwin, Tom Conti, Gabrielle Anwar, Kevin Connolly, Chris Mulkey and Tony Plana (Story by Muraglia and Sladek); the 1996 HBO release Silent Trigger lensed in Montreal under the direction of Russell Mulcahy; and the 1995 Dimension release Hidden Assassin, shot on location in Prague and directed by Ted Kotcheff.Prior to his Cine Grande partnership, Sladek served as Executive Vice President of Quinta Communications, USA where he was Executive in Charge of Production of Quinta's 1991 - 1993 programming slate including USA Networks' thriller Voyage starring Rutger Hauer, Eric Roberts and Karen Allen; USA Networks critically acclaimed drama Nobody's Children starring Ann Margret, Dominique Senna, Jay O. Sanders and Clive Owen; and Universal Pictures' Foreign Student starring Robin Givens and Marco Hofschneider.From 1987 to 1991, Sladek was Vice President of Creative Affairs at Michael Jaffe's upstart Spectacor Films where he served as Executive in Charge of Production on numerous films including HBO's Wedlock starring Rutger Hauer, Joan Chen and Mimi Rogers; Associate Producer of NBC's Shattered Trust starring Melissa Gilbert; and Co-Producer of Mad At The Moon starring Mary Stuart Masterson and Hart Bochner. Over a period of four years, Sladek participated in the development, production and distribution of over 20 television movies and mini-series including NBC's The Hijacking Of The Achille Lauro, the NBC mini-series The Great Escape II and NBC's The Tai Babilonia Story while also supervising in-house production deals.He is currently personal manager to a roster of artists including acclaimed director/choreographer Jamie King (director of Madonna's 2006 World Tour, Madonna's 2004 Re-Invention Tour and Madonna's 2003 Drowned World Tour); Bill Duggan, host of HGTV's hit series Curb Appeal, actors Alexandra Paul (Baywatch, American Flyer, Dragnet), Scott Bailey (Guiding Light), Gary Hudson (Smallville, Jasper Texas), Eben Kostbar, Golden Globe nominated actor/director Doug McKeon (On Golden Pond, Mischief), international dance star Rasta Thomas (Broadway star of the hit musical Movin' Out) and award-winning theater director Ken Sawyer (Woman In Black).He has previously managed the careers of numerous notable artists including Europa, Europa star Marco Hofschneider (Immortal Beloved, The Island of Dr. Moreau), Tony Award nominees Adam Cooper (Swan Lake) and Ian Richardson (Gormanghast), Academy Award nominee Ian Bannen (Flight of the Phoenix, Waking Ned Devine), British horror legend Christopher Lee (Star Wars, Lord of the Rings) and Charlotte Rampling (Swimming Pool, The Verdict), among others.Daniel Sladek has been a member of the UCLA Film and Television Dept. extension faculty for twelve years and is a voting member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. He studied film at the University of Colorado at Boulder, and is a Producer Fellow of the prestigious American Film Institute. In 1987, along with actress Alexandra Paul, Sladek founded and was president of the entertainment industry philanthropy Young Artists United, uniting celebrities and other industry professionals in a non-profit organization dedicated to helping teens nationwide. The organization was honored by President Ronald Reagan, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, the International Broadcasting Association and other organizations.
