Mr. Sperber has been an actor for most of his life. He is the son of noted psychologist, Zanwil Sperber, and psychologist, Merilee R. Oakes. He grew up in the Topanga Canyon region of Los Angeles, and was a natural ham. As an actor, he began on the stage of The Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum at age seven, and essentially grew up on the boards under the watchful, nurturing eye of artistic director Ellen Geer. He branched out into the world of voice-over work at the age of eleven working with legendary actress 'Shari Lewis' on a project for The Boston Museum of Science. It was while in college at New York University that he decided to really focus on acting. He quickly amassed a huge number of credits in New York, working in the off-off Broadway circuit, as well as commercials, small films, and independent television. He returned to Los Angeles and proudly signed his first Equity contract to work on the stage he had grown up on at the Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum. He has happily worked on a vast array of projects both large and small in virtually all the union entertainment mediums.
