John Bobek was born in Hartford, Connecticut, moved to Monroe, Connecticut, then to Dublin, Ohio, and finally settled in Brookfield, WI (a suburb of Milwaukee). There, he began acting in high school and then kept at it in college at Marquette University in their Theatre Arts program, garnering his B.A. and graduating in the summer of 2004. He moved to Los Angeles, started working as much and as fast as possible, and has been seen on the LA stage (Proof by David Auburn), in film (Sony Pictures' When a Stranger Calls (2006)), and TV (The West Wing).
