Brett Stimely's acting career had an unusual start, as the star of a Fresh Start Laundry Detergent commercial and over thirty-five other commercials in Europe, where his ear for language made him adept with dialects.Recently, he co-starred: as Robert Jones on the FX Channel's top show "The Shield," as Eric Burns on the NBC Prime Time Hit series "Providence," and was just seen discovering the North Pole in the Discovery Channel's "Race To The Poles," as the legendary explorer Frederick Albert Cook.He just wrapped the Feature film "Operation Safeguard," where he played the military attaché', Colonel James Mallory, USMC. Plus, Brett's starred in several other Features, including "The Whisper," "Greshnitsa v Maske," "Last Chance Love," and "Faust's Roulette" (just to name a few) and the Movies of the Week, "My First Love" and "Deconstructing Sarah" and he has more than 85 national commercials to his credit, including five current campaigns, one for Nature Made "Cholestoff," the second for "Western Dental," the third for Matrix Directs "American General Life," the fourth for "TheLadders.Com," and the fifth for "West Marine." He just completed Hosting his first Infomercial for the new sunglasses called "Luminators."No stranger to Prime Time Television, he has also been a guest star on dramatic series including "Murder, She Wrote," "FBI: The Untold Stories," "Red Shoe Diaries," "High Tide," and "Equal Justice." Brett made his mark in Daytime as well, with recurring roles on "Sunset Beach," and as the popular Dr. Jay Garvin for years on "The Bold And The Beautiful." His many comedy roles include guest star appearances on "The Nanny," "Cybill," "Step By Step," and "Murphy Brown," in which he played Candace Bergen's adult son, Avery.Along with acting, Brett's passion is his work with the Olive Crest Abused Children's Foundation, for which he is the President of the Board of Directors of the Los Angeles Chapter and Multiple Committee Member. In this role, Brett will be the Event Chairman and "MC" of the upcoming "Rock 'N Bowl 2006 for the Kids" on February 18, 2006 at PINZ in Studio City, California.
