Christian Taylor was born in Manhattan, son of abstract painter Peter Taylor and "Romper Room" host Patricia Taylor, grandson of a U.S Congressman. Raised in Upstate, New York, Christian began acting in high school.He briefly attended St. Lawrence University before transferring to The New School in Manhattan to study music and drama.He later enrolled at The Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute and made his New York theatrical debut as Treplev in "The Seagull" at the Theatre Studio.In 1997 he moved to Los Angeles and spent the next six years working in talent and literary departments at Lighthouse Entertainment and Industry Entertainment, and developed an interest in producing while working at Imagine Entertainment.In 2003 he produced and starred in his first short film, "Old Tricks", starring Emily Deschanel, which won runner up as best newcomer at the Rushes Soho UK shorts festival.In 2006 he started his own production company, Taylor Lane Productions, and currently has a number of projects in various stages of development, including several adaptations of works by award winning UK author Lynne Reid Banks (The Indian in the Cupboard).
