Born to Ben and Judy Turney in Monongahela Pennsylvania, Zac Turney weighed 5lbs. The family soon moved to Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, where Zac attended Elementary School. The family soon moved to Casselberry, Florida where he attended Middle school. At fourteen years old, he was selected to be a contestant on the Nickelodeon game show Legends of the Hidden Temple. In the shows three year run, only 16 teams ever successfully completed the obstacle course at the end. Zac holds the record for the fastest run through the temple, which ensured him a place on the commercials and his episode weighted heavier in the rotation. Now 10 years later, his episode is still in circulation on afternoon Nickelodeon.Finally the family settled in New Smyrna Beach, Florida where he attended high school. Zac would go on to be elected prom king and class clown due to the success of his student movies that graced the weekly school news. He found his love of entertaining his fellow classmates. While most jocks drank, and most nerds studied, Zac, who considers himself both, spent his time making stunt videos and his own parodies of movies and TV shows.He floated around from college to college, first attending USF in Tampa, but eventually dropped out due to sickness. The next 2 years were spent at UNF in Jacksonville, before finding his home at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg. During a summer he took a job as a cabana boy and was promoted to manager of a restaurant and bar at a 5 star hotel. While working there, Zac won his first staring role as the new Gilligan. Seeing his commercial appeal, the producers used his image more than any other character in the show, with the exception of the movie stars. He was used in all print advertisements and the only male used on billboards across the country. His image even graced Times Square in New York City.During promotion for the show Zac was featured in multiple newspapers and TV shows. He appeared on the nationwide morning show "The Daily Buzz" and various other shows during the show's airing. He has done interviews with over 60 radio stations across the nation and is a reoccurring guest on The Monsters of the Morning on XM Satellite Radio. He has feature stories about him and interviews on every major reality TV website on the internet. His own website, where he interacts with his fans daily, had gathered over 6000 hits in two months.While many reality show stars fade as soon as they appear, being cast for the recognizable role of Gilligan has given Zac staying power. His next project was a documentary for Sky TV in which he was cast to play a "confident, adventure-loving American" The show focuses on extreme adventure in the Southwest United States from topics like rafting the Colorado River to bull riding at a Montana rodeo. The Reality Tour will air daily on Sky TV's Travel Channel for the next three years, worldwide.He is on the verge of college graduation and applying to dental school, but still involved in his media career. He is currently working on final drafts of 2 screen plays along with a self help book about optimism. He is currently accepting offers for commercials roles and other projects and is eager to lend his name to those in need. He will even be in a celebrity auction for a cancer charity later this fall and an extra in a Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector. With his worldwide face recognition, he realizes that this is only the beginning of a fantastic journey.
