Scott Umsteadt / Biography

Scott Umsteadt has had an interest in film since early childhood. Born and raised in Indianapolis, Scott dropped out of Arsenal Technical High School to join the Navy in 1986. Two weeks after his initial enlistment, it was revealed that his high school sweetheart was pregnant with their 1st child. In May of 1997, Scott fiancée gave birth to Brittany Renee. After 2 years in the Naval Reserve, and receiving a General Education Diploma, he served out the rest of his duty, and married his high school sweetheart on February 18, 1989. Scott and his family spent two years in Ventura, California, where a 2nd daughter, Alora Mischell, was born in November of 1990. After 4 years in the Seabees, Scott and his family returned to Indianapolis in 1991. A son, Branson Scott, was finally born to the Umsteadts in August of 1993. Scott is currently divorced and living in Indianapolis. He is seeking his BA in Communications at IUPUI.
