He is the guitar player in the country rock band, Austin Hanks. The band has a record deal and their album, Salt Of The Earth is in stores. He has three siblings. Brothers Ivan Valdez an outdoors-man and pro golfer, Thomas Valdez a wondering soul, and sister Alicia who passed away in 2004. He has a French Bulldog, "Nadine" that goes everywhere with him.
