Jamal weathers born in los angeles starting acting at age 7 in theatre arts. At Inner City Cultural Center under th direction of James Burke. This was an extention from his father John Weathers who studied stage and film acting for 15 years with the late great Van Tile Whitfield and Haile Gerima. John Weathers has 4 films as a principal actor from the 70's. Jamal attended high school in Pasadena,and attended Grambling State University with a major of Mass Communications.After leaving Grambling Jamal lived in Atlanta Georgia for a year working in music promotions and management,returned to los angeles in 1994 with his crew Stepchild in which he worked management,received a recording deal with Warner Bros. records signed by Kerry Gordy and entertainment guru Benny Medina.At this time Jamal modeled for top urban brands such as Mecca and Karl Kani,while also touring the US and Canada with his click and D'Angelo. Also toured all over Germany with Prince's Gold Experience album. In 1996 Jamal returned back to the acting starring in So So Def/Columbia recording XScape video,Run into the arms of the one who loves you. Jamal has also formed his own independent label called Itchy Palms which means A greedy or unscrupulous desire for success. Which he applies to everything and he says look for him he is off and running with his acting career.
