Co-Founder of IMG, Jeff Bowler moved to Los Angeles from Boston in 1994 at the age of 19. By the time he was 21, he was a top creative/business executive at Bandai (Power Rangers) where he was the director in charge of many departments including digital, characters and business development. After having a great success at Bandai, at the young age of 24 he became a top executive at one of the largest brands in entertainment, the WWF (World Wrestling Federation). Here is where Bowler took to the business and creative process of story telling, producing, writing, talent development, global licensing, branding for television and film. During his tenure at the WWF the company had record breaking revenues, huge television ratings worldwide and successfully launched The Rock aka Dwayne Johnson to stardom via the WWF co-produced feature film the Mummy Returns and later the Scorpion King. At the WWF, Bowler cemented key relationships with most major movie studios and television networks which eventually inspired him to go on and start his own production company with close friend Bret Saxon. The New company called IMG quickly became a success with Bowler securing a 3 year "house keeping" deal at MTV Networks and in 2004 securing IMG an exclusive "first look" deal at Fox TV Studios, where IMG became the main contributor to the studios development/production slate with over 50 TV shows picked up under the deal with Fox. Under this agreement Bowler created the smash hit TV series Inked which he along with producing partners wrote, directed and produced the pilot and the first season. Inked is currently (2006) in production on season 3, bringing the total episodes to almost 75. Bowler has been an Executive Producer on 8 episodes of the Emmy-nominated series "Driven" for VH1 (Kayne West, Mike Tyson. Ashton Kutcher, Jennifer Garner, Anna Kournikova, Snoop Dogg and more) and was a consulting producer on the hit show "Bands Reunited" and many other shows. IMG is currently working on the feature film "Rebel Music" with Paramount Pictures and MTV Films as well as producing and financing an aggressive in house IMG slate of feature films, including the high profile "Live 2 Tell" which was the only script ever written by slain superstar rapper/poet Tupac Shakur. Tupac was murdered six months after finishing the screenplay as a starring vehicle for himself. IMG will produce "Live 2 Tell" in the fall of 2007. With other high profile films like "It Never Rains" written and will be directed by legendary filmmaker Blake Edwards (Breakfast at Tiffany's, Victor Victoria, 10 and The Pink Panther franchise) Mr. Bowler and Insomnia is on a roll right into 2007.In late 2006, Bowler and business partner Bret Saxon acquired and merged a powerhouse talent management company into the Insomnia brand. Industry vet Scott Karp will head the talent division. Bowler now adds talent manager to his long list of talents, managing major stars like Luke Goss, Rachel Miner, Tarryn Manning and Tiny Lister amongst many more. Insomnia will focus growing the talent management company and team in 2007.Today, Jeff Bowler and Bret Saxon sit atop one of the most versatile and active production/financing and talent management shingles in entertainment. IMG has secured $50M in private equity for production. With hit shows on TV and high profile films in production/Development, IMG is only going up. Bowler is a member of the Producers Guild of America and was the youngest invited speaker at NATPE. He also writes and directs along with producing.
