Phillip Gramm was born October 3rd, 1981 in West Covina, California, in front of the K-Mart shopping center. Well, ok not in the parking lot but across the street at West Covina Hospital. His parents are Laurel and Harvey Gramm, who married on October 4th 1980. Little did they know that 20 years later their son would fall into acting!During High School he had to pick electives and none of which he liked. So he weeded out the "worst classes" to the "so-so I can handle these classes" for the rest of the year. One of which being Film & Video Class, a class he soon learned to enjoy! He became a one man film crew in which he wrote, directed, starred, camera operated, and edited the group films (he was grouped up with a few lazy people). But moving on he got his good grades and eventually graduated in 1999 never looking back. He became a bum living at his parent's house for a year while working for Universal Research and Development (URAD) as a Jr. Computer Technician. Then one day at work while listening to the radio he heard an announcement that they were filming Spider-Man the Movie in Downey, California and needed as many extras as they can get. Free food no pay but one hell of an experience is what they could promise. He loves Spider-Man, he had to do it. While on the set, an overwhelming experience, he was just taking in the whole atmosphere of it all. Eventually he noticed a few NYPD officers. He approached one and asked if he was really a cop or if that was just a costume. It turned out the man was employed as an extra.Phillip soon found out the information he would need to have an exciting new job in the film industry as a non-union background performer! This ended a couple months after he started due to a car accident while on his way to work on the feature film "Orange County". With no car he was forced to work close to home and found one at Chuck E. Cheese! Eventually he saved money and bought a new used vehicle and was getting bored with his nine to five jobs. Knowing that day in and day out he would be doing the same job, the same routine, he yearned for something more. He yearned to be in the film industry again, each day being a different role, a different character. It was like a beacon that was calling for him. He picked up the phone and called Central Casting only to hear they are booking Spider-Man 2. He then booked himself a job as a photo double for a stunt man who was, a NYPD officer!! Since that day he has turned acting into his number one vocation and has had the privilege of working on many films and TV shows. He has had many featured roles and characters and also with that experience has had the opportunity to star in a few student and independent short films. He was even able to have the opportunity to do some voice-over for a Japanese anime, a whole new side to the industry that has intrigued him. On August 3rd, 2005 he became a member of the Screen Actors Guild, getting one step closer to his new found dream that he "fell into"! Currently he is seeking an agent and manager to help him go all the way. Until then he keeps auditioning for whatever breakdowns he can get his hands on. Until he "hits it big" he is still acting as a background performer to help pay his bills and sharpen his skills!
