In the early eighties he was a member of pop group Linx before going solo in 1983. Has 3 daughters with wife Carrie, Olivia Grant(b. 1995), Talia (b. 2002) and Imogen Beloved (b. 10 Jan 2006). Had 2 1985 hits duetting with Jaki Graham: 'Could It Be I'm Falling In Love' and 'Mated'.
