Alan was born in North Little Rock, Arkansas, on October 11, 1980. He grew up in Conway, Arkansas, where he ended up studying drama at the University of Central Arkansas. All it took was one play, and he discovered that he loved acting. When he saw the chance to become an extra in Come Early Morning (2006) he jumped at it. He hopes to move to either New York City or Los Angeles to continue his acting career and to also try to get work behind the camera as a Pruducer/Director. He is the youngest of two older sisters. One of his sisters, Michelle Brewer, is also an actor. His other sister, Denise McDaniel, is a lawyer. He is also a musician. He plays the viola for the Conway Symphony Orchestra and the University Symphony Orchestra in his home town of Conway, Arkansas.
