Stefan's extensive training and carpentry experience led to his forming the company 'beesign-production design' in 1995, while studying Interior Architecture and Production Design in Hanover- Germany. He designed shows, fairs, exhibitions and sets for stage and screen in Germany. beesign's client list included Mercedes Benz, Volkswagen, Sony, Bally Wulf, Expert, Mericell and WDR Cologne.The recipient of awards and scholarships in both the United States and Europe, as well as a certified member of the German Chamber of Handicrafts, Stefan has developed a bold, contemporary style. In recent years, this has spurred his being hired to create many worlds of science fiction and fantasyStefan opened his Los Angeles branch of beesign in 2000, and served as Production Designer on films such as,Asylum Days (2001), Purple Heart (2005), Hollywood Dot Com (2007), The Great Commission (2003), The Trial (2002), Fear Within (2004) and Natural Selection (2003). In the US, beesign's clients include NBC-Universal, The Sci-Fi Channel, Gener8Xion Entertainment, Industrial Light & Magic, Sony, Mercedes Benz and 'Volkswagen of America Inc.'.In 1999, Stefan began working with the award-winning architecture firm Graft. Through this collaboration he has also frequently worked with fellow designer Jan Peter Flack for clients such as Dr. Pepper, Will Smith and Neue-Sentimental Film.Graft recently selected Stefan to helm their new division Graft-Motion, in which Stefan will oversee the entirety of Graft's Architecture and Production Design projects for Film, Television, Music Videos and related Media Events.
