Nyle Cavazos Garcia, born Daniel C. Garcia in Caldwell, Idaho, attended Boise State University under scholarship where he founded Small Town Pictures. Nyle's first short film for Small Town Pictures, "Wedding Night," won the top prize at the 1997 Nell Shipman Awards in Boise, Idaho. Nyle then relocated to New York, where he continued to write and direct short films such as "Betty File 43," and "Humidity," which was an official selection at the 2000 Williamsburg Brooklyn International Film Festival, 2000 Nashville Film Festival and 2000 Long Island Film Festival. Nyle worked in production on independent films for Lion's Gate, Good Machine and The Shooting Gallery. In 2002, Nyle produced, edited and shot the feature film, "Cowboy," for writer/director Jane Gaffney through Small Town Pictures. Nyle then partnered up with actor/producer Paolo Cascardo, and together they created Nightfire Films, and in 2004 relocated to Hollywood and produced Nyle's feature film directorial debut, "Clean." "Clean" went on to win a bounty of awards at various film festivals, including the top prizes at 2004 VisionFest in New York City, 2004 DIY Film Festival in Hollywood, 2004 Rhode Island International Film Festival, 2004 Park City Film Music Festival, 2005 Sacramento International Film Festival and 2005 Beverly Hills International Film Festival. "Clean" can now be seen on Starz! and will soon be available on DVD. In 2006, Nyle co-wrote the dramatic feature screenplay, "Round Five," with writer/director Wych Kaosayananda, which was optioned by Barrie Osborne (The Matrix, The Lord of the Rings trilogy). Nyle is slated to direct two feature horror films, "Blood Pressure" in 2007 with Oak Street Films and "Olivia's Fingers" in 2008 with Freeze Frame Entertainment, both of which Nyle also wrote.
