Jeff Dandurand (born February 13, 1974), more commonly known as Jeff Duran, is a Los Angeles based radio personality and comedian. Jeff was born in Arcadia, California and attended the same high school as Stevie Nicks and Michael Anthony of Van Halen. Duran was something of a child actor appearing on The Wonder Years and in videos by the heavy metal band Megadeth by the age of 15. Duran is best known as a radio personality on KLSX and KCXX just outside Los Angeles. His presence on radio has lead to high profile slots as a stand up comedian, opening for the likes of Carlos Mencia, Pauly Shore and Dave Attell. Jeff has also opened for such rock bands as Seether and Legs Diamond. Duran developed a different persona on stage called "JJ Star", which has been compared to the late Sam Kinison because of the brash material and rocker image. Jeff continues performing stand up comedy as "JJ Star" at clubs such as The Comedy Store in Los Angeles. In 2006, Duran released his comedy CD/DVD 'Still Kickin'. Duran promoted the release on numerous TV and radio shows including XM. After a inspired tour, Jeff returned to radio. Duran can be seen in a new unauthorized documentary about Green Day called Under Review 1995-2000. Jeff is featured on the DVD with many other notable music industry figures. As of April 2007, Duran worked as a disc jockey on two California alternative rock stations; KCXX in San Bernardino and KKZQ in Palmdale (where he works mid-days). Duran recently released a new CD/DVD called 'Defects Of Character' which features new stand up and songs.

However, due to insufficient numbers and airline costs the tour was canceled and Duran returned to radio full time. In late 2006, High Desert Broadcasting hired Duran for the company's modern rock station The Edge 100 in Palmdale, CA. In addition to his midday show on KKZQ 100.1, Jeff Duran can still be heard weekends on All Pro Broadcasting's X1039. In early 2007, Duran contributed commentary to a DVD called Green Day Under Review: 1995-2000-The Middle Years.The DVD featured Jeff and other industry notables discussing the successful career of alternative rockers Green Day. In March 2007 Duran released another comedy CD/DVD called Defects of Character. Duran promoted the release with a press tour that included another appearance on XM's National Lampoon Comedy Radio and live stops in several U.S. cities. Jeff can be seen in a upcoming DVD on Guns N' Roses. The documentary will focus on the Use Your Illusion releases and will be released worldwide in Late 2007 through Prism Films. Duran's career seems to headed full circle. Jeff has been studying with veteran actor Lewis Smith for film and television work at The Actors Academy-one of the top acting classes in Los Angeles.
