Met long-time producer Peter Beckwith while drinking in a bar Beckwith was managing. Continues to run his production company, Edgewood Studios, in Rutland, Vermont. Edgewood Studios is the only continuously running operating feature film studio in New England. Didn't attend film school or any college; started his own film company right out of high school, producing local television commercials and industrial videos, as well as videos for weddings, depositions and even funerals, in order to finance his films. Decided to stop filming social gatherings after a furious mother of the bride screamed at him for not filming the food at a wedding. Intentionally stays away from Hollywood and New York City, in order to be a "Big fish in a little pond" and avoid the loss of perspective that affects much of the film industry.
