Born Darren Bailey Stichtenoth (pronounced stick'-ten-ote), Darren dropped his last name once he began working as an actor.Darren Bailey holds a Bachelor's degree in Theatre from Miami University. He also has advanced TV and Film training from the Tony Award-winning regional theatre, Cincinnati's Playhouse In the Park. While at college, Darren acted in shows by such playwrights as William Shakespeare, Neil Simon, and Arthur Miller. He got the opportunity to co-write, co-direct, and act in an original show called "Clown Logic: Truth Is A Joke," where the actors wore clown makeup and performed sketches based on their lives. The show dealt with creating empathetic moments while inspiring laughter.Having an interest in film acting since he was a child, Darren joined a campus organization called M.A.F.I.A. (Miami Association of Filmmakers and Independent Actors). The organization was created by friend, and director of Fingerman: Dr. London and the Triangle Force, A.J. Rickert-Epstein. Darren acted in a dozen films with the organization, a number of which did very well at the Oxford International Film Festival in the Spring of 2007.Darren and close friend Vonzell Carter, also in Fingerman, met in college and formed a production team called 2 Screws Loose Productions. Vonzell is currently attending Cal Arts as a grad student in acting and heads up the company in Valencia, CA.
