Romel Bowens, a native of Los Angeles, grew up in the San Fernando Valley. He spent most of his youth competing in track and field, martial arts, boxing and watching a ton of TV.Romel skipped film school to work under music video genius Dave Myers (Missy Elliot, Pink), John Baptiste-Mondino (Madonna) and film director John Singleton (2 Fast 2 Furious, Shaft).After studying his mentors, Romel went on to direct music videos for multi-platinum artists such as P.O.D. and Thievery Corporation. He co-produced and directed a PSA for the Variety Boys & Girls Club, which featured his close personal friend actress Lisa Vidal (The Division, Chasing Papi). He helped raise over $4,000,000 for the clubs new building fund.A serial entrepreneur, Romel has started several small businesses and is actively working on several industry projects.Presently Romel Bowens lives in Los Angeles, is a lifelong student of personal development, quantum physics and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
