Born and raised in Los Angeles, Zach began his acting career at the age of 6 months and he continued to do commercials, TV, and movies until the age of 13. Of his various performances as a child actor, his episode of "ER" (1994) (Hell and High Water) received an EMMY nomination. Wanting to take a break from acting and to have a "normal" childhood, Zach took a leave from the industry to pursue academics, music, and sports.After graduating from high school in Los Angeles, he attended college at the University of Miami (Florida) for his freshman and sophomore year. During the following summer Zach's ambitions led him to get his private pilot's license in California. While at UM Zach wrote his first screenplay, "The 23rd Cell", which inspired him persevere his acting career. The summer after his sophomore year his altruistic endeavors led him to spend the summer in Tanzania to teach HIV/AIDS awareness. He has since transferred to the University of Southern California and is currently finishing his undergraduate studies while following his passions for acting and screenplay writing.
