Innis Casey moved to Mexico in 1999 to follow a career as a vocalist, although he spoke no Spanish and had no experience as a singer. His self-titled debut album (which quickly `went gold') was well-received in Mexico, and the single "Dime Donde, Dime Cuando" (Tell Me Where, Tell Me When) reached the number one spot in the Mexican charts. Later Innis won the prestigious Heraldo award for "Best New Artist of the Year 2000", and in 2001 he launched his equally successful follow-up album "Es Por Ti", which was released internationally. He toured Mexico, Central and South America, Turkey, Hungary, Greece, Bulgaria, and Romania and was also asked to perform in New York. In 2002 he decided to take a break from singing, relocating to his home in Los Angeles, where he landed a starring role on the feature film Swing (2003/I) and a recurring role on the critically acclaimed smash hit Fox series "24" (2001) playing the role of Miguel.
