Kerric was born in Richmond Virginia on September 19, 1981. His birth name is Patrick Wayne Mullins, II; named after his father Patrick W. Mullins, who owns and operates a small pet shop in Chesterfield, Virginia. Kerric is the youngest of three children. Kerric graduated from Manchester High School in 2000. In 2005 he found himself unhappy with how his life was turning out and became determined to make a positive transformation. After quitting his full-time job of five years, he set out to lose 150 pounds; which was accomplished in just 15 months. Kerric enrolled into Richard Bland College in Petersburg, Virginia to study acting and was turned down from theatre classes twice, once in Fall of 2005 and again in Spring of 2006. Later in 2006 Kerric wrote a short story, You're Fat, about his experiences as an obese person and the obstacles faced through weight loss. Kerric transferred to John Tyler Community College in Midlothian, Virginia in 2007 to study acting. It was there that he met mentors Jeffery Landon and Kerrigan Sullivan who provided a vast amount of support concerning his career. English Professor Landon encouraged Kerric to submit his writings for publication and as a result You're Fat, was published by the Sherwood Forest Literary Review in 2007. For six months Kerric worked full-time on monologues in preparation to the rigorous application process' of New York theatre institutes. In summer of 2007 Kerric was accepted into New York's The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute, one of the most prestigious acting schools in the world. As of September 2007 Landon Kerric studies at the Strasberg Institute and resides in New York City.
