Steven Kirk was born in Syracuse, New York where he started his trek into the world of entertainment with numerous theatrical performances and as an announcer and promotions' director on radio stations in Central New York. He later studied theatre arts in Arizona as well as working in theatre and broadcasting in San Francisco. He is a self-professed "Renaissance-Man-In-Training" who has enjoyed a long history in the performing arts (film, television, theatre, commercials, music video, voice over & celebrity look-a-like) as well as being a graphic and wax artist. In 1991 Steven made the move to Hollywood. Shortly thereafter he became a member of the Screen Actors Guild and has appeared in motion pictures including "Chaplin," television shows like "Wings" and "The Preston Episodes" and commercials for "Little Caesar's," "Universal Studios Hollywood" and "Panasonic 3DO" just to name a few. He was also curator and Media Spokesman for the Hollywood Wax Museum and Hollywood Guinness World Of Records Exhibition for five years, appearing in countless segments seen on "E! Entertainment Television," "Entertainment Tonight" and "CNN" among others. Steven has also had a successful run as a Celebrity Look-A-Like, portraying Charlie Chaplin, Austin Powers, Groucho Marx and Beetlejuice for media events, private parties and corporate events all around Southern California. He has also appeared in character in films produced at the American Film Institute, instructional videos, print work and commercials. His love of Hollywood led him into collecting and preserving some of its history. Since moving to Los Angeles, Steven has collected memorabilia from film and television. A joint venture with his Wax Museum partner found Steven traveling "Down Under" in 1996 as the "Memories Of Hollywood Collection" toured the Westfield's shopping malls. The exhibition was touted as "The Largest Collection Of Hollywood Memorabilia Ever To Tour Australia". Some favorites from his collection include a cape worn by Christopher Reeve in "Superman", Stars and Stripes boxing trunks from "Rocky V" and the Vorgon alien costume from an episode of "Star Trek: The Next Generation". He has hosted and produced the Hollywood segments for the San Francisco-based film industry commentary program "FilmTrip" (produced at ABC's owned-and-operated affiliate, KGO, Channel 7). He owns and operates a wax figure/prop/costume production company named "Ditto Productions". In addition to reviewing films and writing entertainment industry analysis for SoundwavesTV.com, Steven is working on a variety of screenplay projects with his writing partner Dennis Willis, through their production and development company, CAPRICORN ENTERTAINMENT.
