Wil Castillo, with a Spanish-Filipino background, grew up in Los Angeles, California, USA. He started with Acting in grade school as a hobby. As years passed, the hobby evolved into a passion which produced wonderful results such as Wil becoming part of Fairfax High School's Hall of Fame due to his excellent work as an actor. During his late teens, Wil stumbled upon Directing and Screenwriting. This led him to a degree in Film Production from the prestigious Loyola Marymount University Film Program. After catching the eye of a 20th Century Fox producer with his thesis film in the late 90s, the young filmmaker proceeded to work on various projects as a director, screenwriter, and producer. He also received additional professional training as a Director/Actor from The Beverly Hills Playhouse in Los Angeles for 6 years. Today, Wil continues to work as an independent filmmaker while learning more and more things about his craft every year.
