Studying with the esteemed Bill Esper at the William Esper Studio in New York. Rege (Reggie) was introduced to acting by his former 12th grade English instructor Mrs. Diane Gilyard of T.W. Josey High School. He later met with and auditioned for Tyrone/Judith Butler at the Augusta Mini Theatre where he landed the lead role in a touring production, his first play ever. After starring in over 20 different stage plays, and a few commercials in 2003 Rege loaded up his 1988 Olds and headed to Hollywood. Eight months later he made his Television debut opposite Emmy Award Winner Joe Pantoliano and Hill Harper on the CBS crime drama, The Handler. Shortly after, he worked with acclaimed director George C. Wolfe on Susan Lori-Parks Pulizter Prize-Winning Play 'Top/Dog Under/Dog' at the Mark Taper Forum understudying the role of Booth (Larry Gilyard, Jr) opposite Harold Perrineau. Afterwards, he began to work on two films the first was opposite DL Hughley and Barry Shabaka Henley in the DVD drama 'Shackles', directed by Charles Winkler. Winkler praised Rege's performance, during the directors commentary, giving him detailed compliments...calling his work with DL Hughley one of his favorite dramatic scenes in the entire movie. That performance was followed by a role in Richard Dutcher's highly acclaimed feature film, 'States of Grace' (God's Army II). After an unexpected backstage encounter (at the Mark Taper Forum) with Denzel Washington, Rege took heed to Mr. Washington's advice: "...continue to study the craft!" He then flew out to NY to audition for and gain acceptance in Espers' class, where he has since completed 1 year of his 2 year program. Since his arrival in NY, Rege has worked on projects at the Lincoln Center Institute and originated the role of the 'Carjacker' in Carson Krietzer's World Premiere "1:23" at the Tony Award Winning 'Cincinatti Playhouse in the Park', directed by Mark Wing-Davey.
