Martin Lima de Faria was educated at the National Danish Film school, Denmark, directed several prizewinning short films as "Heartbeat" (Cannes International Showcase Kodak Award 2005), "In the head of a mother" (Cambridge Int Film festival Audience Award) and "Betraktaren" (nominated for the Swedish prestigious award "Guldbagge") and the acclaimed feature "Mamy Blue".He has also directed TV dramas as the popular "OP:7" and been director assistant to Liv Ullmann on Ingmar Bergmans "Private Confessions".He usually directs together with director Anette Skahlberg in their company Stop Film. Stop Film was founded in 1998 in Sweden and has made feature film, numerous award-winning short films and TV since then. It is in the process of planning several features and short films for the future.He lectures on directing and screen writing at film festivals, film schools and universities, works as jury on several film festivals and since the year of 2001 co-founded the acclaimed film award "Amuletten" and in 2006 the "UppsalaFilm" - an organization for independent film producers in Uppsala.Martin and Anette are living with five children and a parrot in Uppsala, Sweden where they also run their film company Stop Film.
