David-Michael, I don't know if you read this blog, but if you do, I wanted to say hello and tell you that I am a big fan of all your work over the years. I just recenty found out that you worked with John Raitt, I had the privelidge of working with him just about a year before he passed on, his daughter Bonnie and I have remained friends since. You and I met briefly at the opening night of Hairspray in Manhattan. Like you, I am also a friend of Marissa Jarret Winokur, she introduced us back stage that night when you were chatting with her and Harvey Firestein. Best wishes to you always!! Brianna Walsh

Attended a party at Darren Starr's Hollywood home last year, David-Michael attended with his significant other Mark Piatelli (writer / director). Mark's prior beau, Peter Paige (Emmette from "Queer as Folk")attended as well and met David-Michael for the first time. DM was his usual happy and outgoing self, Peter seemed quiet and typically bitchy. Darren had met DM some years back when his best friend handled casting for 90210, Melrose Place and Central Park West. There were a lot of Aaron Spelling celebs and film industry heads in attendance, hot crowd.

Does anyone know who david michael's stylist is?? I recently saw a press photo of him and his hair is no longer pulled back in a pony tail, it is cut really cool at shoulder length now.

Isn't it amazing how wound up we all get in celebrity lives? I just wanted to send a quick hello to DM, but ended up reading through this blog and finding out some things I didn't know. Some of the topics I know are very private for DM, I am glad to see so much support and advice given!! If you read this DM, I'm sending you all my love....xoxo

Insiders tell me that though David Michael and Kurt did not ever date, there was some obvious chemestry between the two whenever they were together...

DM & Kurt Knudson of WB never dated. They did see eachother often during DM's design segments that appeared on The WB, but other than that there was no romantic involvement. Kurt did invite DM to a fund-raiser he held for the sunami victims, DM did attend the event with his long-time beau, Mark who is a writer, director and producer for stage, along with the producer of his design segments, his publicist and Michaela Pierera of The WB. Everyone had a great time at Kurt's beautful West Hollywood home, wall to wall celebs.

What's up D-M!!!! Just came across this blog on you and wanted to add a memory. David-Michael and I competed many years ago for an acting scholarship in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I will always remember him on stage during the finals, he was so determined to win; he never copted any attitute and was just as friendly as a person could ever be. It was clear that he was the judges favorite, awesome stage presence, amazing acting, singing and dancing abilities, and his looks had everyone in love with him. So happy to see his success and I wish him all the best this world has to offer. Brandon Hughes

I wanted to make a clarrification. Disorders like anxiety, depression, dyslexia, ADT, etc. are most often part of a persons DNA at birth. Children that are born with these disorders are many time attracted to creative endeavors in their lives as this allows them to express themselves in ways that they most likely could not. David-Michael is an excellent example of this as he is seen as a very public creative person that expresses himself in multiple artistic ways; but this is not to be confused with his need for privacy and fear of public gatherings when he is not in his "element".

Anxiety and depression is very exhausting,I know first hand as I work with patients every day that share their stories. I am sure that with David-Michael being constantly in the public eye he must feel the need to escape and be alone. This is quite typical of creative types and I am hoping that through my practice I can one day shine a new light on this very dibilitating illness. My best to David-Michael and in finding the courage one day share his insight into his condition to help others.

We saw David-Michael in San Francisco over the Christmas holiday. He was with a large group of his family sight-seeing. My girlfriend and I were on a tour of Alcatraz when she spotted him taking photos of graffiti in one of the tiny cells . She walked up to him and said hello, he was very outgoing and polite. We both talked with him for a few minutes as we are from LA as well. He was wearing these really awesome Replay pants and belt, I went to Repaly when we returned to LA and was able to find the biker type belt but not the pants. Cool guy!!

So many people that are in creative industries suffer from depression and anxiety. I have many friends in the industry that suffer from Bi-Polar Disorder, very fragile minds. I want to let David-Michael know that he has my support.....Love, Fergie

having depression and anxiety sucks....making the public aware of dm's illness surely won't help him. it runs in my family too, it hit me about 10 years ago and life has not been the same since.

Eve, Having depression and anixety / panic attacks is not something that should be exploited. I feel like exposing that type of information about someone should not be casual gossip.

Something about DM that not many people know is that he has fought panic attacks, anxiety and depression for many years; he hides is extremely well. Outwardly, he is very outgoing and genuinely sincere, but he actually prefers to be alone when not working, due to his challenge with anxiety etc.. I find it amazing that he has managed to be able to keep up with all his public appearances, though he rarely attends parties or special events.

Regarding David-Michael dating a Dupont grandson. I worked for Ed McMahon during the years that David-Michael and Dupont were close friends, Dupont was best friends with Ed's new wife, Pam. David-Michael spent a lot of time with Dupont at McMahon's Beverly Hills home. I can verify that Dupont was in love with David-Michael, but David-Michael only wanted to be friends. They both had a lot of fun together but David-Michael was really focused on his career and not ready for a relationship. I do think that Dupont's heart was broken, but David-Michael was honest and upfront with him about his feelings. Dupont lived in Hancock Park at the time in a huge gated estate, but he and David-Michael hung out at Ed and Pam's home mostly along with David-Michael's place in Long Beach.

I don't think that DM and Kurt dated as they both are in long term relationships, and from what I know they are both very monogamous guys. They would make a great pair though!!

During the years David-Michael hosted his design segments on Warner Brothers KTLA, was he and Kurt The Cyber Guy (Kurt Knudson) romantically involved? I heard from a insider at The WB that they dated.

Is David-Michael gay or bisexual? I new a girl that made out with him some years ago during a film festival in San Francisco; but the details were a little fuzzy. She attended a party he hosted in the penthouse of a downtown hotel, they were up all night drinking and hanging out on the huge terrace overlooking the city. I saw some photos from the party, pretty hot!!

OMG, David-Michael is all grown up and now a celeb!! We hung out together in the 80's in Hollwood while he was attending the Fashion institute in LA. He had given up his stage career in order to focus on design. We had some many rad times burning up the Hollywood nightlife, everywhere we went all eyes were on him as he was stunning and so approachable. I miss those days, I am going to try to get in touch with him through his publicist.

Met DM about 20 years ago...wow, long time ago. I was out with some friends in Hollywood at a bar called Peanuts. He must have been about 21 years old, just legal to get in!! I remember that he arrived with a group of people, one of them happened to be a good friend of mine. We all danced the night away to Madonna, The Cure, The GoGo's, Adam Ant, Ahha..... never had so much fun in my life!! I think we all danced for about five hours straight then went to an after hours club, and finally a huge group of us ended up at Ships to eat around 5AM. We sat next to a group of Goths and punkers that were so hammered!! One of them took a liking to David-Michael and would not leave us alone so I pretended like I was his girlfriend....:) I can still remember what he was wearing, a pair of white painters pants, black tee-shirt, a leather choker and black combat boots, his dark brown hair was very Flock of Seagulls and I remember his brilliant blue eyes and pale skin. Such a pretty man/boy at the time. We lost touch about a year later...I miss him.

get this, david-michael madigan dated one of the famous dupont family grandsons when he was in his early 20's. rumor has it that david-michael only wanted to be friends with him, but dupont wanted more and tried to entice him with his being an heir to the dupont family fortune along with expensive gifts. apparently david-michael told him he was looking for love, not money....dm broke dupont's heart.
