Born in Havana, Cuba, and raised hundreds of miles away in Tampa Bay, Alain Mena took his first step toward acting at the age of 8 when he was casted as the "Big Bad Wolf" in 2nd grade play. After years of wondering away from acting and dancing he found himself again in the musical production "Hero: The Rock Opera" that went to Districts and did great! With his new gang of talented performers he was hooked. After appearing on-stage in the Northeast, Disney's "High School Musical" and different school performances he went out looking for new auditions that would lead him to his dream role. Although as of now he hasn't reached his dream he is proud of how much he has accomplished with the help of great friends and his drama teacher. Alain's first acting gig for a screen was playing a student in a new History Channel Documentary Film "Inside the Handy Writers Colony" which is pending on more information. While on the set he met great new theater and screen friends including Chad Jamian which has helped in many different ways to guide Alain into the business.Mena graduated from Northeast High School in May of 2007. Mena's favorite sports include tennis, baseball, swimming, and anything that included living on the edge. One day soon he plans on taking a trip and sky diving. He recently added bowling after working at the so called "lanes" during his senior year in High School. He makes his own short films and edits them himself hoping that one day he could shoot his Million Dollar Dream Movie. Alain plans to travel the world after college no matter at what point of his career he's in. He says life is too great to not go out and live it! As much as he has traveled out of the United States to Latin America he plans to go further north to Europe and stay for months. Who knows what could happen?
