Scott Napolitano began making films with a home movie camera at an early age, but it was a twist in fate that he made his way to the industry. Responding to a contest in the Asbury Park Press, Scott enlisted the help of his friend Bart Brooks to write a review of the Jackie Chan flick "Shanghai Noon". The article was chosen from a large pool of candidates as the winner and for two years, Scott and Bart covered releases for The Press as the writer's of "The Reel Deal" column. It was only after graduating high school that he shifted from critiquing films to making them. After a short stint as a psychology major, Scott chose to take an Introduction to Film class. His early attempts were applauded by his teachers and as a result, Scott stuck with it. This, combined with his camera work for the Lakewood Blueclaws baseball team drove him to make film his career. He later interned with the New Jersey Motion Picture and Television Commission, assisting productions ranging from Artie Lange's "Beer League" to Julie Taymor's "Across the Universe" and "The Sopranos".During his senior year, Scott attended the open casting call for M. Night Shyamalan's "Lady in the Water" and was chosen to be an extra in the party scene. This marked the big screen debut for Mr. Napolitano. By his graduation in 2006, he had assisted as a crew member in commercials for Bristol-Myers Squibb and General Electric, as well as television programs for The Travel Channel, Fine Living Channel and TLC.Scott took most of 2006 and 2007 to instruct a Film class in northern New Jersey and to develop a pair of scripts and is now (June 2007) looking to return to work in the industry.
