Born Scott Bradley Owen on 14 February, 1975 Scott plays the double bass in the Australian rock band The Living End. After playing the piano for many years, he decided that the keys would not work for a rockabilly band, so at age 17 he purchased and taught himself the double bass, letting him play rockabilly with his best friend and band mate, Chris Cheney in their first band "The Runaway Boys" in 1992 which turned into The Living End in late 1994.Scott has a son, Harvey, with his wife Emilie.He has also written tracks for The Living End which include: "Stay Away From Me", "I Want A Day", "What Would You Do?" and "Flood The Sky"He has also co-written a number of tracks for The Living end including "Short Notice" with Chris Cheney and Andy Strachan and "So Lonely" and "Black Cat" with Chris Cheney.Aside from The Living End, Owen has also played for Paul Kelly providing double bass on Paul Kelly's song "Song Of The Old Rake" and even featured in the video clip for the song which was set in a Bendigo radio station.
