Matt Clifford was born in Los Angeles and got his start in acting after being literally thrown onto the stage. Helping a director friend by jumping into a role that another actor left behind, he got hooked. In 1996 he became the youngest member of the Knightsbridge Theatre/National American Shakespeare Co. While attending Marymount College in Palos Verdes he was nominated for two Irene Ryan acting awards. He was then offered a small role in Universal Pictures Starry Night (1999), with 'Sally Kirkland', and _Hard Luck (2000)_, with Karen Black. He attends Michigan State University and plans to move to New York.
