Daryl Wein is a New York based actor/writer/director. He was born in Santa Monica, California and raised in Westport, Connecticut. He studied drama and film at NYU Tisch School of the Arts and USC School of Film and Television.For acting, he trained with the Atlantic Theater Company acting school, American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and Music Theater of Connecticut.His first short film as a director, Life is a Train, won Third Prize at the International Young Filmmaker's Festival in 2001, attracting the attention of apple.com. From his success, the state of Connecticut honored him the "You Belong in Connecticut Young Media Maker Award."His short film, Unlocked was the Winner for Best Dramatic Short at the Evil City Film Festival in NYC, and received official selection at the Tribeca Film Festival (2007), NOVAC Louisiana Film Festival in New Orleans, Beverly Hills Hi-Def Film Festival in California, and the Gijon International Film Festival in Spain.
