Alexander Winn was born in Dallas, Texas on September 24, 1986. His interest in acting, writing and filmmaking started an a very early age and grew to a full fledged passion when he bought his first editing software in high school. Since then his movie trailers, digital animation designs and short films have won numerous local, national and international awards. In addition to his independent filmmaking projects, he has been active in theater, winning 1st runner up in the National Semi-finals of the National Shakespeare Competition in 2004, and being a part of the cast of a UIL award winning production of Richard III, also in 2004.He is a National Merit Finalist, a Merit Scholar, and a member of National Honor Society, the National Society of High School Scholars, the National Honor Roll and Who's Who among American High School Students. He was awarded a Gold H, one of the highest awards given to graduating seniors. He is also a member of the Dallas Screenwriters Association, Dallas Community Television, the Dallas Video Association and the Indie Club. He was awarded a Presidential Scholarship, a National Merit Scholarship, a Ben Wiseman Scholarship and the Callie Curnes Arts Scholarship, and is attending the University of Southern California, where he is studying filmmaking and classics.
