Devin was raised in Aurora, Colorado, a suburb of Denver. He played in a college band in Minneapolis before attending graduate film school at Columbia with a concentration in directing. His mentor was Ralph Rosenblum, editor of Annie Hall, Manhattan, The Producers, Love and Death, Sleeper, etc. He was a principal actor and writer for the sketch comedy troupe "Tunnelvision" with Steve Hermanos (writer/producer), Kirk Davis (writer, director: "Screendoor Jesus") and writer/director M. George Stevenson, which appeared semi-annually at Caroline's Comedy Club on Broadway. Debut feature: wrote and directed Show Me the Aliens! (2000) with story by Hermanos, Crowley and Davis. He recently acted in the feature "Screendoor Jesus".
