Born Michael Lawrence Cuddire to Lawrence and Mary Cuddire on August 3, 1971 in Warwick, Rhode Island. Later, the family moved to Salisbury, Massachusetts where his parents opened a shop specializing in wooden doll houses. Michael attended local schools and was involved in local theatrical productions and community theater. After attending high school at Berwick Academy in South Berwick, Maine (and receiving the Douglas Drama Award), Michael attended Wheaton College, the former women's college, where he majored in political science and studied acting and theater. He graduated with honors in 1993 and then attended Northeastern Law School, graduating in 1997. He has performed in various theater roles in New England, including performing Shakespeare at Boston's Publick Theatre, as well as acting in independent film and television. Michael has also has appeared in numerous television commercials and continues to work in commercial print. He currently studies with William Esper in New York City. Michael and his spouse, actress Joanna Herrington, currently reside in New York.
