Aric Cushing grew up in the northern California Redwoods. After graduating from San Francisco State University, he studied with the American Conservatory Theater and the London Academy of Dramatic Arts. Upon returning to the United States, he toured the Pacific Northwest in Robert Louis Stevenson's classic Kidnapped, then relocated to Los Angeles. After working in television, music videos, and commercials, he returned to the stage in 2002; he worked there until deciding in 2004 to produce the feature film The Yellow Wallpaper with director/producer Logan Thomas.
