Darren DeBari is an actor, author, director, and award-winning screenwriter with his long time friend Greg Wilson for their work on The Human Equation and The Videostore Murders in 2001. He has written and directed the dark comedy indie The College Murders and acted in the psychological indie Dark Fantasy for the Jersey Shore Independent Film Company Mindbreak Entertainment that he founded. DeBari recently finished a twenty year labor of love called Fear's Domination and is still teaching Independent Filmmaking at Ocean County College where he was guest judge from 2001 to 2005 for their Speech and Theater Competition. DeBari has also taught acting along the shore and has done camera work for The New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority and has worked in Giants Stadium, the Continental Airlines Arena, and the Meadowlands Raceway. He has done Guest Columns for local Jersey Newspapers and freelanced for Greater Media Newspapers where he sought out and interviewed veteran actor Frank Vincent. DeBari has done voice over work and still works for Freehold Raceway where he does camera work, computer graphics, and simulcasting. From March to May 2006 DeBari wrote a film column for the short lived Community Connection newspaper in Brick and Point Pleasant. On May 5, 2006 he premiered his short film The Price and on May 19, 2006 he premiered his feature film The College Murders at the SoHo Art Gallery in Toms River. The College Murders also kicked off the Soho Art Gallery Film Fest on October 30, 2006. On March 30, 2007 DeBari attended and was a panelist for the first annual Ocean County Library Student Film Festival. DeBari married Kerry Bollenbach on June 9, 2007 in BayHead, New Jersey. He has also recently written, acted, directed, and even narrated a number of short you tube films including The Legend of the Jersey Devil Trilogy, Greg Wilson's comedy The Day in the Life of a Zombie, The Time Warning, The Calling, Mr. Alacrity, and a tribute to author Ken Grimwood and his great book Replay.
