Enjoys spending time with his horses in Montana as well as archery, hiking, canoeing, fishing, photography and other outdoor activities that keep him in touch with nature. Douglas was fired from "Young and the Restless, The" (1973) in July of 2001 because of a reported power struggle between head writer Kay Alden and exective producer Edward Scott and his role was recast with David Lee Russek. Went to the University of Tennessee where he studied medicine. He was bitten by the modeling bug, and started his career doing shoots for Gianni Versace and Armani. After starring in the movies Assault on Devil's Island (1997) (TV) and Playing Mona Lisa (2000), Douglas took some time off to compete in rodeos throughout Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho, also working ranches in Wyoming and Arizona. Has green eyes & brown hair. Selected as one of YM Magazine's "50 Most Beautiful Guys". He has a deep fascination with, and respect for, his Native American heritage (his mother's family is Cherokee) and has taken an active interest in tracing his family roots.
