Writer / Director Michael Anton made his directorial debut in 2005 at the age of 21, directing the low budget comedy Potheads the Movie. A writer at heart Michael took a step back from his usual style of heavy dialogs suspense drama's and incorporated an entirely new and original style with the film Potheads. After stripping the script of all set dialogs, Michael banned all actors from seeing the script in order to maintain a sense of realism. The idea was so well liked that it attracted the interest of bigger name actors such as Ray Park, Pauley Perrette, Efren Ramirez and Elizabeth Daily.Soon after completing Potheads, Michael signed on to do another project of his, a dark suspense comedy called Dead In Texas where he managed to fight off a 103 degree fever during 104 degree shooting days to finish the entire film in less than ten days. After attending one year at Auburn University where Michael played football and baseball for the tigers, Michael moved to Los Angeles to pursue a writing career, after selling his first script at nineteen Michael managed to land a few small acting roles on hit TV Shows such as ER and General Hospital. After a few years of bouncing back and forth between writing and acting he decided to give up acting and pursue his first love, film making.
